Mission & History
In October 1952, representatives met for the Constitutional Convention at Beekman Towers in New York City. During the weekend, the group decided on a name, our three core principles of service, friendship, and equality, our colors of maroon and white, and our symbols of a white rose and pearl. October 12, 1952 is recognized as the national founder’s day of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority.
The Epsilon Beta Chapter was founded in 1972 and currently comprises of 150 sisters. We devote ourselves to serving our local Clemson community and its surrounding areas, as well as the student body of Clemson University. Sisters are required to complete 25 hours of service each semester through various events.
